Give and it Shall be Given

Pastor Joy and I recently attended our yearly Pastors meetings in Nampa.  It is always an honor to set with some of the brightest minds and sit at the feet and learn from our leadership.  We were challenged, encouraged, uplifted and blessed at the event.  During the conference elections were held for office of presbyter/overseer for the two regions of our state.  I was honored to receive the vote of confidence to represent the eastern region of the state of Idaho.  I have served in this capacity for the last few months fulfilling a vacant seat, now its official for the next 2 years.  I love the State of Idaho and look forward serving in this capacity.  As you can see from the pictures in this email we held another food giveaway this week.  What a blessing as numerous volunteers came to assist in this ministry to give away Fish n chips and dessert.  We were able to utilize our newly donated 53' freezer trailer to pick up the fish from the fish hatchery in central Idaho.  It is always a lot of work but the blessing of serving overshadows the pain.  As we do these events the Lord always shows Himself in the lives of the people, both serving and those receiving.  A story came forth from this give away from a man who was busy serving as he looked up he saw a person he had ought against from many years ago.  He said the person stood out as if they were 10 feet tall, as the Lord pricked his heart to make amends.  He approached the offended person with fear and intimidation and said Hi, to find a cold shoulder and said can we talk. The conversation went from a cold hi, to end up praying with the individual as the rest of the story came forth.  Love God, Serve people.  Life is too short to hold ought against one another.  Is there anyone you need to forgive?  Is there anyone you need to approach and forgive them?  I would encourage you to make amends.
